Married to a US citizen?
Let's get the green card right.

A marriage-based green card depends on the right forms, solid evidence that the marriage is genuine and a sponsor who meets the income requirement. An independent immigration attorney reviews your case and guides you from the first filing to the interview.

The essentials

What matters for a marriage green card?

01

Citizen or green card holder

Spouses of US citizens are immediate relatives with no annual limit. Spouses of green card holders fall in a preference category and may have to wait for a visa number.

02

Inside or outside the US

If your spouse is in the US after a lawful entry, adjustment of status may be possible. Otherwise the case goes through a US consulate abroad.

03

A genuine marriage

USCIS looks for evidence of a shared life: a joint lease, bank accounts, photos over time and messages. The interview often focuses on this.

04

Two-year conditional card

If you have been married less than two years when the green card is approved, it is conditional. You then file jointly to remove the conditions before it expires.

Easy to start

No big leap.
Just a first step.

You tell us what is going on. We find the right attorney for it.

  1. 01

A few words about your situation.

Choose your topic and leave your contact details. You don’t need a complete file to get started.

  2. 02

    A free first call.

Our intake team gets in touch, clarifies what you need and connects you with an independent attorney licensed in California.

  3. 03

A flat fee before any work.

The attorney reviews your case and quotes the scope and a fee in writing. You decide whether to go ahead.

For later, not for now

What you can have
ready for the call.

You don’t need to upload anything in the form. These documents can help later:

  • Marriage certificate and any prior divorce decrees
  • Passports, visas and I-94 records of the immigrating spouse
  • Evidence of your shared life and the sponsor's recent tax returns

Do not travel abroad while an adjustment of status is pending without advance parole. An enquiry does not stop any deadline.

You may still be wondering …

Before we
talk.

How long does a marriage green card take?

It depends on the USCIS office or consulate and on whether your spouse is a citizen or a green card holder. Your attorney can show you the current processing times for your case.

What if our income is too low?

The sponsor must meet an income threshold based on the Federal Poverty Guidelines. A joint sponsor or assets can often fill the gap.

What does the first call cost?

The first call is free and without obligation. If you want an attorney to take on your matter, the attorney quotes the scope and fee in writing before any work starts.

What happens after I send my request?

Our intake team reviews your request and gets in touch to clarify it and arrange the call. Sending the form does not create an attorney-client relationship and does not book an appointment.
